It set sail and sank on August 10, 1628, after having travelled 1400 yards and came to rest 100 feet below the surface, where it was forgotten until it was rediscovered in 1956, brought back to the surface in 1962, and is now a museum piece and one of present day Stockholm's greatest tourist attractions
